Kyle,

Thank you so much for the objective review! I really appreciate the time you took to write something meaningful and helpful, as opposed to the typical canned review, or worse yet, "promotional post masquerading as a review."

All the Best,

Mark

Kyle

Funny I was reading this book earlier - I am setting up a membership site and was going to use a html package but it is sooooooooo much easier doing it via wordpress.

Kathy - I totally agree that some ebooks are seriously overpriced. In fact there is an awful lot of rubbish on the net - most of it written by marketers.

But this is not an "ebook" as we know it. Its 950 plus pages of information on everything you could need to know about wordpress. Honestly its like having a personal coaching course with Leanne sitting beside you. There are diagrams of the wordpress interface or the plug in as you go. And the plug ins she reviews are both free and ones you buy.

I think Leanne is mad to sell it at this price - I have never seen anyone give away so much content for $77.

What I didn't like about the book is that I got a little bit lost trying to find some specific information. What I have been doing is when I read about a plug in or a wordpress must have on the internet, I have been checking this book - its like an encyclopedia of stuff - and sometimes I dont know what section to check! But what I have found is that when I find the information, it often saves me money as there is a free version available but the person selling the paid one has forgotten to mention it.

You can seriously turn wordpress into anything you want with this guide - review site, shop or membership site. Any guru that says wordpress is only for blogging needs this book.

Thanks Kyle for the review

Sounds like an amazing amount of material to digest. War and Peace or, in this case, Wordpress and Peace for Internet Marketers.

In response to Kathy, it's kind of like textbook pricing. Self published, limited market and the fact that it's got loads of custom themes included which, you can easily end up spending $77 or more just for 1 custom theme. So considering that a good web designer/developer or consultant can cost as much as $200/hour, $77 is probably not that much.
