I think it takes a bit for Fantastico to code the update, but once that is done, it is up to the web host to load the upgrade into CPanel. It's frustrating as you never know who is really telling the truth! Warning to anyone else who has changed their "table_prefix" value in the "/wp-config.php" file, you may need to change that prefix back to your custom name, I got a fright when I did the upgrade and looked at the site to find it was suddenly called "My Blog" with no database data, it had also created new default table prefixes "wp_" in the database. I changed the /wp-config.php file to show my old custom prefix, then I visited the /wp-admin/upgrade.php link to upgrade the old database tables. I upgraded my site with Fantastico De Luxe.
