I just love the 3 plugins Top Commentator, KeywordLuv, CommentLuv, but I think it is work mentioning to get good quality comments I put a little blurb up on my sites to say poor quality comments will be deleted and give an exaple what is a poor comment.

This helps me get better quality comments rather than have “Nice Site” or “Thanks” written in the comments which defeats the purpose of adding fresh content.

Top commentators is good plugin
but it has one minus: It attract some kind of spammers who want to enlarge back links to their sites.

@ Mary – How do you get which? I mentioned in the above post that if you become a “top commentator” on sites that use this plugin, you’ll get a link in the sidebar. For example, if you look at our “Top Commentators” tab in the sidebar (click on it), you’ll see your link there!

As far as post-level links, search engines recently shifted in the last 6 months to put more emphasis on these (that was after this post was published). To get a post-level link, you will typically want to purchase reviews on popular websites or publish good content that people will naturally mention in their posts.

@ Mary – That means it appears on every page of the website (links in the header, sidebar, footer, etc.).

Post-level links are links that appear inside individual posts, but not throughout the rest of the website.
