It has been awhile since I’ve created one of our popular WordPress theme galleries, so I decided it was time to build a new one. In the past I’ve always taken the approach of trying to remove any personal bias and just display the WordPress themes and demo/download information in a manageable way so that the reader can choose their favorite themes that they’d like to use.
This time I decided to comb the internet looking for my personal favorite free WordPress themes of all the different types and then throw in a few of my favorite premium WordPress themes towards the bottom. A lot of these are on my own list of faves.
A couple reminded me of my theme pet peeve: if the theme is available in different colors, I want it all in one download, not three.
Even better if there’s an options page with a button I can click to swtich between them.

Thanks for the great list (and site). The Revolution 2 themes are no longer free, though. They’ve changed their business model again so that they now start at $60.

I astonished at the flexibility and versatility of the WordPress Theme Platform. Just when I think that there is nothing more a developer can do to improve on the WordPress Theme, someone comes along and simply blows us away with their design. Truly amazing!
